Award winning Taxidermist since 1989
When Quality matters . . .

You will find our service and quality second to none. With over 25 years experience, a member of the National Taxidermy Association, Iowa's Taxidermy Association, and the associations of the entire Mountain West Region, our quality is known throughout the sporting world.
Our mounts are crafted by Sheri Stranathan, who grew up in the mountains of Idaho and began learning the trade at 14 years old under her mentor. Sheri quickly became known for her eye for quality and attention to detail. You will never find a commercial piece in Sheri's archive of award winning work.
After learning the trade and making a name for herself, Sheri began to compete in 1989. Shortly thereafter she began to work exclusively with Intermountain Outdoor Sports doing large format lifelike scenes for their stores and their large clientele.
From there Sheri moved to the beautiful Loess Hills of Iowa with her husband Dennis and began to get back to the roots of her craft. Creating the very best show quality mounts for each and every customer. Quality features such as the best eyes money can buy, muscle detail and nose work make her work stand out from the pack.
You would think with all this quality and painstaking attention to detail that it may take a couple of years for your mount to be done. Not the case Sheri will turn your head mount around in 3 to 6 months. How can she do this so quickly you ask? Loess Hills Taxidermy controls the product from start to finish, from the caping and fleshing out, to their own in-house tannery. Bottom line; you will get a great mount at a competitive price with a turnaround time unheard of in the craft!
Take a look at the examples of Loess Hills Taxidermy's competition winning quality in our galleries and you'll understand why we say "Competition quality mounts for each customer." is our hallmark to success.
